Welcome to the
Interdisciplinary Latin America Center (ILZ)
at the University of Bonn

Our mission is:

  • promoting and strengthening on Latin America within and between individual disciplines at the University of Bonn

  • cultivating and publicizing the research, teaching and consulting related to Latin America at the University of Bonn

  • facilitating communication between the University of Bonn and cooperating institutions in Latin America

  • developing and implementing applied research projects and study programs in Latin America
  • reaching out to the next generation of students and academics interested in research on Latin America
