Assessing Climatic Vulnerability in Chile

Through the case of the Pehuenche People of Southern Chile, this presentation addresses the question of the relationship between resilience and adaptation to climate change. Although Pehuenche communities are responding to climate change, their resilience is constrained by unequal structures and the incidence of state policy. Because of this, most responses do not address their contextual
vulnerability, and therefore do not represent a practical possibility to adapt.
